This notice describes information used to respond to enquiries and arrange consultations and quotation enquiries.

What you choose to share

The form asks for your name, email, consultation topic, and a non-confidential message. Organisation and organism or strain are optional. Consultation requests also include meeting preference, proposed duration, timezone, and preferred times or flexible timing. The acknowledgement concerns this enquiry only; there is no newsletter enrolment.

Online submissions forward your enquiry through Google Gmail to dongyaoliu2020@gmail.com. Emailing us directly creates a message in your email provider’s system and the receiving Gmail account.

How information is used

Information is used to reply to your enquiry and prepare quotations and arrange consultations you request. When submissions are enabled, Google Gmail will process the form and forward it to the contact address below. There is no automatic reply sent to visitor-supplied addresses and no website enquiry database.

When hosted, the server and reverse proxy process connection information to serve the site. A short-lived, bounded in-memory counter limits submission attempts. The application does not log message bodies or full form payloads. Infrastructure providers may maintain their own operational records.

Maps and booking calendars

Google Maps loads automatically when you visit a page containing our location maps. Optional Google Calendar panels load only when you activate them. These loads, or opening an external link, send connection information, including your IP address and browser information, to Google, which may use cookies or other storage under its own policies. Google manages any bookings and associated notifications made in its calendar interface.

No analytics, advertising, remote fonts, or chat services are added by this website. This does not describe the behaviour of third-party services after you choose to load them. See Google’s Privacy Policy (new tab).

Records and retention

Form inputs remain in the current page’s memory while you use it; the site does not save drafts to browser storage. Emails and provider bookings create records outside this website. Correspondence is retained in the receiving mailbox until manually deleted; this site does not implement automatic mailbox deletion or a fixed deletion schedule. You can ask about or request deletion of correspondence using the email below. Provider backups and retention are governed separately.
