About us

Small organisms.
Bigger questions.

The organism matters. We are building toward a fully automated biology laboratory, starting with experiments in small model animals.

Our blueprint: a fully automated biology laboratory.

Our ambition is to build a laboratory that performs experiments and collects research data as part of a connected, automated workflow. Starting with worms, we want to bring genetic engineering, experimental measurement and analysis together.

Transgenesis and gene editing are our first practical steps. The research data must come from doing experiments: making a change, observing what happens and using those results to guide the next question. A fully automated laboratory is our long-term goal.

Why start with worms?

Caenorhabditis elegans is among the best-studied multicellular organisms. Its depth of biological knowledge provides a valuable reference for connecting genes, development and whole-animal traits.

We begin with these small model animals because they give our broader ambition a concrete starting point: carry out experiments, collect data and build the workflow around real biological questions.

Why P. pacificus?

Pristionchus pacificus, or Ppa, is a less-studied satellite model alongside C. elegans. It provides a complementary system for investigating how biological processes and traits evolve.

That difference shapes our focus. We want to help researchers generate experimental data in an organism with more still to explore. Our transgenesis and gene editing services concentrate on P. pacificus, supporting experiments that can expand this body of knowledge while we work toward our larger laboratory vision.
